“I’ve got to say, it’s remarkable—no, you’re remarkable!!”
If you’re unsure whether it’s “its” or “it’s,” repeat the sentence aloud without the contractions: “I have got to say, it is remarkable—no, you are remarkable!”
It’s that easy. (It is that easy. See what I did there?)
And, by the way, why am I dropping some Grammar Yammer in here from time to time? Because Bad Grammar removes the power from what you have to say. Bad Grammar gets in the way of the flow. Bad Grammar can be fixed easily by sound bites like this…and, READING! ha!
