    Let’s Get Started!

I’m a Teaching Writer. And, if you’ve hung around me for more than a few minutes, you’ve heard me chant: “Read, then write! Read, then write! Read, then write!” All I’m doing is repeating and passing one of the best pieces of mentor advice I’ve ever gotten (thank you, Dr. Philip F. Deaver and Spalding Low-Residency MFA). That writing pedagogy is what’s taking shape here at the Read Then Write Workshop. Confession: I’m a “pantser” (writing by the seat of my pants) who’s learning to plot. I’m also a writing coach who’s giving this new endeavor room to organically and freely take shape. I hope you’ll join me!
